Affiliate Disclosure

WhenIsMyTrain.in is free to use, and we intend to keep it that way. Part of how we cover the cost of running the site is through affiliate partnerships. This page explains exactly what that means, in plain language.

What affiliate marketing is

Some links on this site — for example, in our "Recommended For Your Journey" section — are affiliate links. When you click one and go on to book a hotel, bus ticket, flight, cab, or travel product through that partner, we may earn a small commission from that partner. This is a common, standard way independent websites like ours stay free for visitors.

How commissions work

We work with travel and booking partners through CueLinks, an affiliate network that connects publishers like us with merchants such as hotel booking platforms, bus and flight aggregators, cab services, and travel insurance providers. When a purchase happens through one of these links, the merchant pays a commission to the network, which shares a portion with us.

This never costs you anything extra

The price you pay for a hotel room, a bus ticket, or any other product through one of these links is exactly the same as if you'd gone directly to the merchant's own site. The commission comes from the merchant's marketing budget, not from your wallet.

Editorial independence

Our booking date calculator, our booking rules content, and our blog articles are never influenced by which merchants we partner with. We don't accept payment to write favorably about a company, and no affiliate relationship changes the accuracy of our train booking information. The calculator works exactly the same way whether or not you ever click an affiliate link on this site.

How recommendations are selected

Offers shown in the "Recommended For Your Journey" section are automatically pulled from our affiliate network and filtered before anything appears on the site:

  • Only travel-relevant categories are shown — hotels, buses, flights, cabs, travel insurance, travel accessories, and holiday packages.
  • Expired, paused, or inactive offers are automatically excluded.
  • Unrelated categories (electronics, fashion, finance, and similar) are never shown, regardless of commission rate.
  • Offers are shown only if they have a valid, working link — broken or incomplete offers are filtered out automatically.

We don't hand-pick individual offers for placement — the same filtering rules apply consistently, regardless of which merchant or network is involved.

Your choice, always

Using any affiliate link on this site is entirely optional. You're always free to visit a merchant's website directly instead, search for the same deal independently, or simply ignore the recommendations section altogether — none of the site's core booking date tools require you to click through any affiliate link.
